Third Annual Dog Olympics Event-April 11th, 2015

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine will be hosting the second annual Dog Olympics on April 11, 2015! The event, put on by the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association will run from 10 am- 4 pm at State Fair Grounds-AgStar Arena. Everyone is welcome to attend this fun, family-friendly event. Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs to compete in fun games like musical sit, high jump challenge, doggy relay races and a best trick competition. Talented disc dog teams, agility duos, musical freestylists and canine police dogs will
also be putting on demonstrations of their athletic talent. There will be many educational booths set up where attendees can learn more about pet health, take a trivia challenge, purchase toys for their pets and even pose in costumes at the doggy photo booth. Kids can enjoy carnival themed games, face painting, meeting guide dogs and learning more about what it is like to be a veterinarian.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the St. Paul Police K-9 Foundation, a taxexempt nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes. Its mission is to provide financial support for the St. Paul Police Canine Unit, specifically to give the best medical care to these hard working dogs. The Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation will have a display at the 3rd Annual Dog
